HiWi Job / Measurement of coupling efficiency of amino acids by microfluidic peptide synthesis and estimation of surface density of the solid phase products

Contract duration: 3 Monate, flexible (30 – 50 hours/ months, flexible), Entry date: 15.06.2024/ flexible
Skill: Basic skill in the chemistry, preferable organic chemistry
Field of study: biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering
You will work with a unique chemical machine that allows you to synthetize more than 200,000 peptides in parallel. Your task is to plan an experiment to determine the efficiency of machine microfluidic synthesis by measuring the density of cleaved Fmoc protecting groups and optimizing the machine protocol. As a result, you will get a unique opportunity to automate chemical reactions, carry them out in microfluidic form, and cooperate with programmers. If successful, Masterwork is offered with more exciting applications, including the development of diagnostic chips.
