In this course, participants gain a basic understanding of relevant cultural theories and learn how to apply them specifically to the management context and derive appropriate measures for each situation.

- Culture and cultural differences: the concept of culture and cultural dimensions as well as intercultural sensitivity

Leadership responsibility in the context of entrepreneurial action (14/07/2025)
Management responsibility means weighing up competing demands, reflecting on ethical obligations and making and justifying decisions within a framework characterised by the market and competition. Economic efficiency, ecological sustainability and social responsibility can be in conflict with each other.

This course teaches the basics of philosophical ethics in order to be able to reflect on one's own management responsibility. Using case studies and discussions, participants learn how to methodically deal with moral issues in a corporate context.

Contents:

- Fundamentals of ethical reasoning: Is it possible to argue about morality and what are the consequences?
- Models of ethical reasoning: Are there ‘instruction manuals’ for moral behaviour and decision-making?
- Responsibility: Individuals and roles - does the market have its own morality?
